The present invention relates to a composition containing a Rubus coreanus fruit extract as an effective component, and decreasing expression of a proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) gene increased by a statin base compound or increasing the amount of low density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) decreased by the statin base compound. According to the present invention, the composition increases expression of an LDLR through inhibition of expression of a PCSK9 gene, so the amount of blood cholesterol can be lowered.
