PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion aid improving working efficiency when inserting a guide wire to a catheter having divided guide wire lumens, and the catheter.SOLUTION: The insertion aid 50 assists the insertion of the guide wire 25 by being separably mounted on the catheter 1 having a first guide wire lumen 27 to which the guide wire 25 is to be inserted and a second guide wire lumen 28 provided roughly on the extension of the first guide wire lumen, to which the guide wire 25 is to be inserted.
