A packaged baked food product includes a packaging box (16, figure 1) defining a chamber for receiving food product, a base platform 38, and a baked food product 40. The baked food product 40 is located on the base platform 38 and the base platform 38 is located in the chamber of the packaging box (16). A collar 14 formed from an elongate strip is positioned around the periphery of the baked food product 40, wherein said collar 14 is formed from a material capable of being baked during production of the baked food product and has been positioned around the food product prior to baking of the food product. Also disclosed is a method of preparing baked good including a single-use collar which is configured to be removed from a baked product after retail.
