PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alcohol detector and a drunken driving prevention system capable of properly detecting a fact that a person other than a person who is measured is measured.SOLUTION: A drunken driving prevention system 1 comprises: an alcohol detector 10 for detecting alcohol concentration in expired air and a controller 20 for determining whether or not to allow start up of an engine based on the detection result. The alcohol detector 10 has an alcohol sensor Sa and first to ninth steam sensors Sw1-Sw9. The controller 20 determines an input direction of the expired air based on steam amounts Cw1-Cw9 acquired from the first to ninth steam sensors Sw1-Sw9. The controller 20 outputs a signal which indicates that start up of the engine is not allowed, to an engine controller 30 without determining whether or not, the alcohol concentration Ca acquired from the alcohol sensor Sa is equal to or more than a statutory regulated value at which it is determined that drivers driving will be drunken driving if the driver drives, when it is determined that, the expired air is not expired air of a driver, based on the input direction of the expired air.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT【課題】測定者の成り代わりをより的確に検出することができるアルコール検知器および飲酒運転防止システムを提供する。【解決手段】飲酒運転防止システム1は、吹き込まれる呼気のアルコール濃度を検知するアルコール検知器10、およびその検知結果に基づきエンジンの始動を許可するか否かを判定する制御装置20を備えている。アルコール検知器10には、アルコールセンサSaおよび第1~第9水蒸気センサSw1~Sw9が設けられている。制御装置20は、第1~第9水蒸気センサSw1~Sw9から得られる水蒸気量Cw1~Cw9に基づいて呼気の入力方向を判定する。制御装置20は、呼気の入力方向に基づき当該呼気が運転者の呼気でないと判定される場合、アルコールセンサSaから得られるアルコール濃度Caが飲酒運転となる法定の規定値以上であるか否かを判定することなく、エンジン制御装置30へエンジンの始動を許可しない旨の信号を出力する。【選択図】図1
