Disclosed in the present invention is an anti-inflammatory composition using 8-oxo-9-octadecenoic acid separated from an Undariopsis peterseniana extract. Specifically, disclosed in the present invention is the anti-inflammatory composition using 8-oxo-9-octadecenoic acid, which exhibits NO generation inhibitory activities in macrophages stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS), PGE_2 generation inhibitory activities, inflammatory cytokine (TNF-&alpha； and IL-6) generation inhibitory activities, and iNOS and COX-2 expression inhibitory activities.본 발명은 넓미역 추출물로부터 분리된 8-옥소-9-옥타데세노산을 이용한 항염증용 조성물을 개시한다.구체적으로 본 발명은 LPS(lipopolysaccharide)로 자극된 대식세포에서 NO 생성 억제 활성, PGE2 생성 억제 활성, 염증성 사이토카인(TNF-α 및 IL-6) 생성 억제 활성 그리고 iNOS 및 COX-2 발현 억제 활성을 보이는 8-옥소-9-옥타데세노산을 이용한 항염증용 조성물을 개시한다.
