The present invention relates to a device and a method for measuring the amount of urine inside a bladder. The method for measuring the amount of urine inside a bladder comprises: step (a) of checking an operating mode inputted from the outside; step (b) of repeating a series of previously set motions until a urine amount measuring mode is selected, when the operating mode inputted from the outside is a bladder position checking mode; and step (c) of performing a scanning motion for acquiring ultrasonic signals of a plurality of scan surfaces, and estimating and providing the volume of a bladder by using the ultrasonic signals acquired by the scanning motion when the operating mode inputted from the outside is the urine amount measuring mode. In addition, the series of previously set motions in step (b) comprise: step (b1) of performing an advance scanning motion for acquiring ultrasonic signals of a plurality of scan lines which form a single scan surface, by using a transducer; step (b2) of generating and displaying an ultrasonic images of the single surface by using the ultrasonic signals acquired by the advance scanning motion; step (b3) of extracting position information of a bladder by using the ultrasonic signals acquired for the scan surface; step (b4) of detecting the central point of the bladder from the extracted position information of the bladder; and step (b5) of displaying the central point of the bladder on the displayed ultrasonic image.
