PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sunscreen cosmetic which has high ultraviolet ray-protection ability, sufficient covering power so as to be available for a base make-up, and finish with a transparent feeling on application.SOLUTION: (1) A sunscreen cosmetic comprises following components A and B: A) a particulate titanium dioxide and B) a spherical polymethylsilsesquioxane powder of which particle size is 0.1-2.0 &mum, and 90% of particles or more are 1.0 &mum or less, and preferably content of the spherical polymethylsilsesquioxane powder of which particle size is 0.1-2.0 &mum, and 90% of particles or more are 1.0 &mum or less is 0.1-15.0 mass%.
