PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmic composition with improved bactericidal activity on Acanthamoeba cysts.SOLUTION: An ophthalmic composition contains (A) at least one selected from alexidine and a salt thereof, which is preferably 0.001-2 ppm based on the total amount of the ophthalmic composition, (B) at least one selected from a nonionic surfactant and acidic amino acid and a salt thereof, and (C) polyhydric alcohol, which is preferably propylene glycol.
