PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a GABA-containing food material in which high density of GABA is contained.SOLUTION: The production method of the high density GABA-containing food material includes a step S1 of preparing raw material unpolished rice, a step S2 of immersing the raw material unpolished rice in water, a step S3 of wet-milling the raw material unpolished rice immersed in and containing the water to generate rice slurry with an average particle diameter of 20 μm or less, and a step S4 of reacting the rice slurry to generate γ-aminobutyric acid.
