PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety tool for a wheelchair that regulates the improper backward movement of a wheelchair and permits the forward movement of the wheelchair when a user stands up, and facilitates an operation to allow the user to draw the wheelchair forward and to allow a carer to move the wheelchair forward (toward the user).SOLUTION: A safety tool for a wheelchair includes: brake units having cylinders, brake rods, elastic members, and brake pressure bodies and brake unit drive means attached to a wheelchair in a state related to the brake rods, drawing back the brake rods against the energization force of the elastic members when a user sits on, releases the pressurization of the brake pressure bodies with respect to wheels, and permitting the energization of the brake rods by the elastic members and the pressurization of the brake pressure bodies with respect to the wheels when the user stands up.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】 起立したときに車椅子の後方への不用意な移動を規制するとともに車椅子の前方への移動を許容し、使用者が車椅子を前方に引き寄せる、介護者が車椅子を前方(使用者側)に移動させるといった操作を行い易くする車椅子用安全器具を提供すること。【解決手段】 シリンダと、ブレーキロッドと、弾性部材と、ブレーキ押圧体と、からなるブレーキユニット、車椅子にブレーキロッドに関係した状態で取り付けられ、着座することによりブレーキロッドを弾性部材の付勢力に抗して引き戻し、ブレーキ押圧体の車輪に対する押圧を解除し、起立することによりブレーキロッドの弾性部材による付勢ひいてはブレーキ押圧体の車輪への押圧を許容するブレーキユニット駆動手段と、を具備したもの。【選択図】図4
