Farming equipment (1) comprising a travelling section (500, 500a) and an emergency stop mechanism (7a) is disclosed. The farming equipment may be tea farming equipment. The emergency stop mechanism is disposed at an end of the travelling section and comprises an emergency stop switch. The emergency stop switch is configured such that the switch is not actuated when the switch comes in contact with a crop or plant, but actuates when in contact with an obstacle. When actuated, the emergency stop switch stops an engine of the farming equipment. The emergency stop switch comprises a spring and has a conical shape or a rod shape with a chamfered end (see 701, figure 8). The chamfer or cone shape deflects crops or plants away.
