PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the operation part of a treatment appliance for an endoscope capable of rapidly shooting at the affected part by certainly performing the rotary operation of an operation wire in an axial direction by rotating the operation and easily and certainly attaching the base end of the operation wire at the time of attachment.
SOLUTION: The cross-sectional shape of the constricted part 4a of a connection rod 4 attached to the base end of an operation wire 3 is formed into a polygonal shape having a size enough to almost inscribe two sides opposed to each other with a fine width part 19n of an engaging hole 19. In the case where the cross-sectional shape of the constricted part 4a of the connection rod 4 is formed into a square shape, the large width part 19w of the engaging hole 19 is formed so as to have a width larger than its diagonal dimension and one edge part of the locking hole 19 is notched in the boundary region of the large width part 19w and fine width part 19n of the engaging hole 19 so as to have width wider than the fine width part 19n to form the engaging hole 19 into an assymmetric shape at the notched part 19x.
