PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair for allowing the body support sections of the chair to be kept sanitary and stably holding the body.SOLUTION: The chair, which includes: body support sections 31, 41 respectively arranged in a backrest section, a seat section 3, and a footrest 2. The chair has two states, i.e., a stowed state for stowing the body support sections 31, 41 by pivotally moving the backrest section 4 and the footrest 2 with respect to the seat section 3, and an extended state for allowing the body support sections 31, 41 to be usable by pivotally moving at least one of the backrest section 4 or the footrest 2 with respect to the seat section 3.
