The present invention relates to a tomato plant ( Solanum lycopersicum L.) comprising a genetic determinant that leads to the absence or reduction of green staining from the green vegetative parts of the plant upon contact, as compared to a plant not carrying the said genetic trait, which genetic determinant is obtainable from a tomato plant comprising said genetic determinant, representative seed of which was deposited with the NCIMB under deposit number NCIMB 41845.
