The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes: a touch panel for detecting an operators touch position a display for displaying images in response to ultrasonic waves radiated from a probe and reflections of the ultrasonic waves and a graphic control unit for displaying an input panel layout corresponding to the touch panel on the display, selecting a position on the input panel layout corresponding to a touch position detected by the touch panel, and performing a control operation corresponding to the position selected on the input panel layout.
