PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical diagnostic imaging supporting device improving the operability and accuracy in medical chart input.
SOLUTION: This medical diagnostic imaging supporting device reads dental image information selected by an operator from a magnetic disk and stores it in a main memory (Step 2001), determines the image analysis region in the dental image information (Step 2002), and generates a tooth frame indicating the position for each tooth by measuring density distribution for the dental image information in the image analysis region by line-scanning, thus determining the tooth ends and midline, and determining the tooth outer frame and diastema line based on the tooth ends and midline (Step 2003 and Step 2004). The medical diagnostic imaging supporting device superimposes and displays the generated tooth frame and the dental image information (Step 2005). If the generated tooth frame is not properly positioned, it is corrected by drag-and-drop operations using a mouse.
