PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide disposable wearing articles which can prevent a lowering of appearance.SOLUTION: In a disposable wearing article 20A, a back surface sheet 22 is formed from internal and external side sheets 36, 37. Light transmittance in the overlapping part of the internal and external side sheets 36, 37 of the back surface sheet 22 is within the range 20-50%. In the article 20A, first and second elastic members 55, 56 which form an elastic member for a leg area 33 present substantially the same white or creamy white as the internal and external side sheets 36, 37. The central parts 58, 60 of those elastic members 55, 56 are located between a liquid absorption layer 23 and an internal sheet 36. In the article 20A, the internal and external side sheets 36, 37 conceal the central parts 58, 60 of those elastic members 55, 56. The central parts 58, 60 of the elastic members 55, 56 do not stand out in an inside leg region 25 and can prevent a lowering of the appearance of the article 20A.
