The present invention relates to a method of treating cancer in an abdominal cavity in a subject. The method includes administering an anticancer agent encapsulated in nanoparticles to a subject in need of treatment, wherein the nanoparticle slowly releases an anticancer agent in a timely manner to efficiently kill tumor cells.
