PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic material including a substance capable of more improving a skin improving effect by ceramides 1 to 7 by being jointly used with ceramides 1 to 7 though it is a component safe to a skin.SOLUTION: A cosmetic material includes one or more ceramides selected from ceramides 1 to 7 and a ceramide extracted from a paste made from the arum root. Further, the cosmetic material includes a ceramide 2 and/or a ceramide 3, and a ceramide extracted from a paste made from the arum root.
