PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate an endoscope device without any trouble, regardless of differences in versions between a video scope and a processor.SOLUTION: When a video scope is connected to a processor, a model name of the video scope and a version name of a motion control program are detected. Based on a reference table T, a version name that is compatible with the version of the motion control program of the (current) processor is specified, concerning the model of the connected video scope. Then, it is determined whether or not the detected version name coincides with the version name on the reference table T.
