PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact lens solution, particularly a solution which is safe for eyes and excellent in compatibility with lens, which can effectively prevent adsorption of the component to the lens material when an antiseptic or bactericidal component is added.

SOLUTION: The contact lens solution contains a phosphate of 35-100 mM, a nonionic isotonizing agent and/or epsilon-aminocaproic acid. The contact lens can be also disinfected by further containing at least one of biguanide- or polyquaterium-based bactericides as an active ingredient for sterilization.
