PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retain an optical probe and a body cavity tissue surface in a stable positional relationship and optimally observe a pit pattern (the microstructure of the mucosa) in the inside of the body cavity tissue.
SOLUTION: On a side face of a probe outer tube 620, a set of distal balloons 651 and 652 are provided on the distal end side of an optical opening section 650. On a side face of the probe outer tube 620, a set of proximal balloons 653 and 654 are provided on the proximal side of the optical opening section 650. The proximal balloons 653 and 654 are fixed to a moving member 655 moving forward/backward along the probe outer tube 620 in the longitudinal direction.
