PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cartridge in which a sterilant remains from being taken out from a sterilization device so as to prevent a user from contacting the sterilant, and to reduce the disposal cost of the sterilant.SOLUTION: When the cartridge containing a hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution is installed, this sterilization device locks such that the cartridge cannot be taken out, puts the hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution taken out from the cartridge into a concentration furnace to concentrate the hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution, and sterilizes an object by use of the concentrated hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution. When disposing of the hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution inside the cartridge, the sterilization device gasifies the hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution taken out from the cartridge by the concentration furnace used in the concentration of the sterilant, and decomposes and disposes of the gasified hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution. The sterilization device releases the lock after performing the disposal processing of the hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution inside the cartridge.
