PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient mix-up prevention system that can be constructed with a simpler configuration, and can therefore prevent a medical error such as a patient mix-up at low cost.SOLUTION: A patient mix-up prevention system includes face authentication original data acquisition means for imaging the face of a patient beforehand and acquiring face authentication original data, registration means for associating and registering information on the patient and the face authentication original data, information code creation means for creating an information code corresponding to the face authentication original data, information code output means for outputting the information code, and a portable terminal capable of recognizing the face of a person.
