A method for producing a low density perforated web material (20) having a thickness of at least 0.20 mm, comprising the steps of: - providing a layer of low density material having a maximum overall weight per square meter of 75 g/m2 or less and - processing the low density material (20) between two rollers (3, 4) pressing onto each other to obtain a low density perforated web material (20), wherein a first roller (3) has protrusions (6) to perforate the low density material, and a second roller (4) rotates at a different speed from that of the first roller (3) and has projecting parts (8) with contact areas (10) arranged to perforate the material with the protrusions (6), the contact areas (10) being spaced by recesses (9) to receive the material and having larger contact face dimensions (7) than the protrusions (6), the recesses (9) leaving an impression in relief (I) on the low density polymer material.Linvention concerne un procédé de fabrication dun matériau de bande perforée (20) à faible densité ayant une épaisseur dau moins 0,20 mm, comprenant les étapes consistant : - à fournir une couche de matériau à faible densité ayant un poids total maximal par mètre carré de 75 g/m2 ou moins et - à traiter le matériau à faible densité (20) entre deux rouleaux (3,4) se pressant lun sur lautre afin dobtenir un matériau de bande perforée (20) à faible densité, dans lequel un premier rouleau (3) présente des protubérances (6) pour perforer le matériau à faible densité, et un second rouleau (4) tourne à une vitesse différente de celle du premier rouleau (3) et possède des parties saillantes (8) avec des zones de contact (10) disposées de façon à perforer le matériau à laide des protubérances (6), les zones de contact (10) étant espacées par des renfoncements (9) destinés à recevoir le matériau et ayant de plus grandes dimensions de face de contact (7) que les protrusions (6), les renfoncements (9) laissant une empreinte en relief (I) sur le matériau polymère à basse densi
