PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode member for ablation of a novel structure in which a degree of design freedom in providing a temperature sensor can be substantially secured, and an improvement in temperature detection accuracy in performing cauterization treatment, for example, can be achieved, and to provide a catheter for ablation of a novel structure using the electrode member for ablation.SOLUTION: In an electrode member 14 for ablation for applying a cauterization treatment to the inner surface of a lumen of a human body, a cautery electrode 48 for ablation, and a temperature measurement element 62 for temperature detection are provided at positions different from each other in a thickness direction of an electric insulation base material.
