An element (7) intended for an orthodontic system comprises: a fixing surface (9) to be attached to the wall of a tooth； a body (10), having sides (17, 18) counterposed with respect to the fixing surface (9) and defining a groove (11) passing through sides (17, 18), for housing an archwire that can be removed and protrudes while being kept in the groove (11) through at least one of sides (17, 18) with respect of the element (7)； a slit (12) passing through the sides (17, 18) toward the groove (11) in order to assemble the archwire in the groove (11). In this way the play between the archwire and the hole (12) is lower than the space between the archwire and the groove (11), in order to keep the archwire (8) in the body (10).L'invention concerne un élément (7) conçu pour un système orthodontique comprenant : une surface de fixation (9) à attacher sur la paroi d'une dent ； un corps (10), présentant des côtés (17, 18) opposés par rapport à la surface de fixation (9) et définissant une rainure (11) traversant les côtés (17, 18), destiné à recevoir un arc dentaire pouvant être retiré et faisant saillie tout en étant maintenu dans la rainure (11) par au moins l'un des côtés (17, 18) par rapport à l'élément (7) ； une fente (12) traversant les côtés (17, 18) en direction de la rainure (11) afin d'assembler l'arc dentaire dans la rainure (11). De cette façon, le jeu entre l'arc dentaire et le trou (12) est inférieur par rapport à l'espace entre l'arc dentaire et la rainure (11), ceci dans le but de maintenir l'arc dentaire (8) dans le corps (10).
