PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic-inorganic composite filler in which a large amount of fine inorganic fillers are contained, and a dental composite resin excellent in mechanical strength and wear resistance with which the organic-inorganic composite filler is blended.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing an organic-inorganic composite filler in which an inorganic filler molded body obtained by press molding an inorganic filler is immersed in a polymerizable monomer-containing composition, and after the polymerizable monomer penetrates into the inside of the molded body, a cured product obtained by polymerizing and curing the polymerizable monomer is pulverized.
