PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which prevents worsening of the touch to a skin, fuzzing, or the like while improving air permeability between the inside and outside of folds.SOLUTION: An absorbent article includes: thin and long elastic members 103 provided at intervals between a skin side layer 101 and an outside layer 102 joint parts 104 formed by intermittently joining both of the layers 101, 102 at least in a direction in which the elastic member 103 expands and contracts and an expanding and contracting part for fitting in which folds 105, 106 are formed respectively when parts located between the joint parts 104 of both of the layers 101, 102 bulge in mutually opposite directions in a contracted state of both of the layers 101, 102 in association with the contraction of the elastic member 103.
