PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter capable of reducing injury of the inner wall of a lumen such as a blood vessel, and capable of increasing the indwelling fixing force.
SOLUTION: The balloon catheter is composed of at least a flexible tube comprising one main inner lumen penetrating in the longitudinal direction and at least one subordinate inner lumen, and a balloon attached to the distal end side of the flexible tube. A plurality of lines of zigzag-shaped ribs are formed on the outer surface of the balloon over the whole periphery in the circumferential direction orthogonally crossing the longitudinal direction of the balloon. The zigzag-shaped ribs are separate from one another.
