PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating a combustion rate, combustion efficiency and a calorific value by performing a combustion experiment simulating relative to necessary conditions including imperfect combustion concerning combustion of a solid fuel.SOLUTION: In this method, after performing a combustion experiment in which combustion conditions around a solid fuel are controlled by a heating apparatus, an oxygen partial pressure and a blast volume, and gas analysis relative to change of CO, COand Ogenerated in company with combustion, a combustion rate, combustion efficiency and a calorific value are evaluated quantitatively based on the gas analysis result. Further, in the method, a combustion experiment simulating evaluation of the solid fuel relative to necessary conditions is performed, and the combustion rate, the combustion efficiency and the calorific value are determined by gas measurement, and activation energy and frequency factor which are characteristic to the solid fuel are
