PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inhalator for inhaling a powdery medicament from a capsule which stores a powdery formulation.SOLUTION: An inhalator comprises a mouthpiece 60 and an assembly A. The assembly comprises: a capsule holding tool comprising a capsule chamber having an air suction opening and an air discharge opening； a capsule opening device for opening the capsule； and an actuator 42 which can be operated by a finger. The inhalator further comprises a rigid outside shell comprising a lower shell part 71 which is attached to an upper shell part 72 by a hinge, in which the shell can be opened and closed freely. The shell covers and protects the assembly, and the mouthpiece.
