PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical instrument set management system capable of managing a change in a surgical instrument set easily, and transmitting a content of the change to persons concerned accurately and quickly.SOLUTION: A surgical instrument set management system 10 includes a server 40 and a portable terminal 20. The server 40 includes a first transmission/reception part 44 for transmitting/receiving information on a surgical instrument set 80, and an update part 46 for updating the information on the surgical instrument set 80. The portable terminal 20 includes a second transmission/reception part 24 for transmitting/receiving the information on the surgical instrument set 80 to/from the server 40, and an input part 28 in which a change in the information on the surgical instrument set 80 is input. When the information on the surgical instrument set 80 after the change is transmitted to the server 40, the update part 46 updates the information on the surgical instrument set 80.
