On prépare du charbon actif à l'état de granulés et de l'acétoacétamide, et on fait fondre l'acétoacétamide, puis on ajoute à chaud les granulés de charbon actif à l'acétoacétamide à l'état fondu, liquide, jusqu'à ce que l'acétoacétamide soit fixée sur les granulés puis, on laisse refroidir le mélange de granulés de charbon actif revêtus d'acétoacétamide pour recristalliser l'acétoacétamide sur les granulés de charbon actif.
