<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the constitution in a region in which a balloon is installed and its peripheral region, and to improve the operability of a balloon catheter. <；P>；SOLUTION: This balloon catheter 10 is equipped with a distal shaft 13, an inner shaft 14, a balloon 16, and a distal end chip body 18. Both of the shafts 13 and 14 are tubular, and in addition, the inner shaft 14 is fitted in the distal shaft 13. The inner shaft 14 is installed in a manner to be extended closer to the distal end than to the distal shaft 13, and the distal end chip body 18 is bonded to the distal end section. Also, the proximal end side of the balloon 16 is bonded to the distal end section of the distal shaft 13. Then, the distal end side of the balloon 16 is installed by being bonded to the proximal end section of the distal end chip body 18.
