PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved technique with respect to the setup of an interested region.SOLUTION: An interested region setup part 24 sets a provisional interested region inside an ultrasonic image formed by an ultrasonic image forming part 14. Further, the interested region setup part 24 specifies the boundary part of the provisional interested region from which a diagnostic object is projected, and determines an additional region corresponding to the size of the boundary part.
