The apparatus adaptor 20 includes: a communication unit that receives a periodic signal periodically transmitted from the controller 30; and a detection module that detects the disruption of communication on a communication path 42 through which the operation instruction is transmitted from the controller 30 to the apparatus adaptor 20 on the basis of the presence or absence of the periodic signal.
