PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood purifying apparatus capable of facilitating the treatment by a medical attendant by applying light to the periphery of a blood purifying apparatus body at the time of power failure.
SOLUTION: The blood purifying apparatus comprises the blood purifying apparatus body 1 for purifying the blood of a patient while extracorporeally circulating the blood a battery 5 mounted on the blood purifying apparatus body 1 for feeding the electric power when the power supply from a power source is shut off a determining means 8 for determining whether the peripheral environment of the blood purifying apparatus body 1 is light or dark when the power supply from the power source is shut off an indicator lamp 2 capable of emitting light to the periphery of the blood purifying apparatus body 1 with the power from the battery 5 on condition that the determining means 8 determines the peripheral environment of the blood purifying apparatus body 1 is dark a monitor screen 3 and a lamp 4 for illumination.
