PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating a projection image which enables the removal of the trial and error for obtaining a desired projection image by restricting (clipping) a projection domain of the three-dimensional image data and can quickly acquire the projection image of the desired domain by making the above operation simple.
SOLUTION: The method for generating a projection image includes a domain setting step to set the projection domain to the three-dimensional image data acquired by taking a photograph of an examinee, a generating step to generate the projection image of the projection domain and a displaying step to display the projection image, and has a domain changing step to move, to enlarge or to reduce the projection domain between the domain setting step and the generating step, wherein the generating step generates the projection image for each the movement, the enlargement or the reduction of the projection domain.
