PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: vesicular formulations comprising one or more phospholipids and one or more nonionic surfactants and being effective in the treatment of pain or inflammation or osteoarthritis and treatment methods using the same.SOLUTION: A vesicular formulation comprises 2.0-10.0 mass% of phosphatidylcholine as a phospholipid and 0.2-5.0 mass% of a nonionic surfactant, such as a polyoxyethylene sorbitan, as a surfactant. The vesicular formulation is effective in the treatment of pain, inflammation or osteoarthritis, more specifically in the treatment of deep tissue pain, for example osteoarthritis and other joint or muscle pain.
