The present disclosure relates to flexible caps for medical joints such as luer lock joints. The flexible cap includes a cap component that defines a top surface, a cylindrical wall that extends away from the top surface of the cap component, and an inner sealing surface. The cylindrical wall defines a hollow interior configured to receive the inner tapered seal wall of the male connector of the medical joint so as to form a seal with the outer surface of the tapered seal wall. Furthermore, the inner sealing surface of the flexible cap is configured in the hollow interior. Thus, when the tapered seal wall of the male connector of the medical joint is received within the hollow interior of the cylindrical wall, the inner sealing surface of the flexible cap can seal the fluid passage of the tapered seal wall.
