An ultrasound system (100) is provided that includes a probe (106) for successively acquiring ultrasound information from an object along at least three distinct scan planes (138, 140, 142). The scan planes (138, 140, 142) intersect one another along an axis extending from the probe (106) through the object. A memory (114) is included for storing data slices corresponding to the at least three distinct scan planes (138, 140, 142) based on the ultrasound information. Also included is a processor (116, 118, 120, 122) that accesses the memory (114) to select and obtain the data slices and generates ultrasound images based on the data slices. A display (124) is included for co-displaying the ultrasound images.
