PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide deodorized paper which effectively prevent the deodorizing effect inherently possessed by the deodorant from being impaired due to the interaction with other components.SOLUTION: The process for producing a deodorized paper of the present invention has a step of making a slurry for paper-making containing a wet paper strength agent containing chlorine, a deodorant containing zinc, a chlorine trapping agent, a fixing agent, and pulp. It is preferable that the chlorine trapping agent is a salt of a metal having a higher ionization tendency than zinc.
