The invention is related to a medical device for conducting a laryngoscopy and/or an intubation, the medical device comprising an elongate body which is designed for introduction into the pharynx, the elongate body comprising a distal end, which is on the front side of the elongate body during introduction into the pharynx, and a proximal end on the opposite side.It is an object of the present invention to provide a medical device which allows for conducting a laryngoscopy and/or an intubation in an easier and safer manner, both for normal and for challenging airways.This object is achieved by a medical device wherein the elongate body is a hollow body comprising a reception chamber in its interior, which reception chamber is arranged for reception of a human finger.
