PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial agent, specifically a new polypeptide compound having antifungal action or the salt thereof.SOLUTION: It has been found that a new antibacterial agent has an excellent antifungal activity when a benzoyl group having a cyclic substituent is introduced in the ortho-position of the carbonyl as a partial structure of a natural polypeptide compound. The polypeptide compound of the present invention has excellent antifungal action and can be used as a preventive and/or therapeutic agent for various fungus infections.【課題】抗菌剤、殊に抗真菌作用を有する新規なポリペプチド化合物又はその塩を提供する。【解決手段】本発明者らは、新規な抗菌剤について検討し、天然ポリペプチド化合物の部分構造として、カルボニルのオルト位に環状の置換基を有するベンゾイル基を導入することに、優れた抗真菌活性を有することを知見し、本発明を完成した。本発明のポリペプチド化合物は優れた抗真菌作用を有し、種々の真菌感染症の予防剤及び／又は治療剤として使用しうる。【選択図】なし
