An light therapy apparatus is defined to include a UV light source secured to a casing. A shroud is placed over an exposed portion of the UV light source and is secured or attached around the perimeter of the casing end. Since the UV light source can generate a significant amount of heat, the casing includes an internal fan. Various tubing configurations may be used to help direct the air flow from the fan around the UV light source. In addition, a vent opening in the shroud was found to reduce the temperature of the shroud to prevent damage to a persons user the apparatus.
