PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging unit for an endoscope, in which image oscillation or others is not generated during advancing movement and retracting movement by stably regenerating optical properties and the generation of visual field vignetting can be prevented by enhancing reproducibility stopping a moving lens frame in a constant wide end position.SOLUTION: The imaging unit 30 for the endoscope has a biasing body in which an actuator 62 delivered in the second direction against the biasing force of a biasing member 66 biasing the moving lens frame 38 in the first direction biases an abutting member in the second direction, the moving lens frame has the abutted surface coming into contact with the abutting member, the abutting member biased in the second direction by the biasing body comes into contact with the abutted surface and distributes the pushing and pressing force applied from the abutting member into the third direction substantially perpendicular to an imaging optical axis and the second direction along the imaging optical axis, the moving lens frame is constituted so as to be delivered in the second direction along the imaging optical axis with the moving lens frame pushed and pressed in the third direction substantially perpendicular to the imaging optical axis.
