<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air purifier capable of removing carbon dioxide from air. <；P>；SOLUTION: The air purifier has a filter part which air can be passed through, photosynthetic bacteria and mineral components supported on the filter part, and a light irradiation means for irradiating the photosynthetic bacteria with the light. That means the photosynthetic bacteria activated by magnesium oxide removes carbon dioxide from air. The photosynthetic bacteria refers to any bacteria belonging to purple sulfur bacteria, green sulfur bacteria, purple nonsulfur bacteria, green nonsulfur bacteria, aerobic photosynthetic bacteria, and heliobacteria herein.
