Methods and apparatus for enabling injection and aspiration through a single device are disclosed. The device may be used to deliver the device to a site of blood clotting, simultaneously or sequentially injecting a thrombolytic or other drug into the clot, and aspirating the clot dissolved from the patient to treat the stroke. The methods and devices can advantageously enable more efficient thrombolytic injection and coagulation aspiration.
