It is intended to provide a device for capturing flying insects by which flying insects such as flies and bees can be well attracted and captured without making a user unpleasant. A device for capturing flying insects which comprises an attractant member having a planar part in the vertical direction, an invasion port surrounding the upper part of the attractant member and a capture chamber connected to the invasion port, wherein flying insects are attracted toward the planar part of the attractant member and thus allowed to land on the planar part. After landing, the flying insects are guided upward along the planar part and then captured in the capture chamber via the invasion port.
